Publisher's Descriptions
Extract your data easily using TULP2G.
TULP2G is a forensic software framework for extraction and decoding of data stored in electronic devices. In object-oriented systems a framework is defined as "a set of classes that embodies an abstract design for solutions to a number of related problems".
For the TULP2G framework the solutions are so called plug-ins for data extraction and data decoding and the problems are all related to forensic extraction and decoding of data stored in electronic devices. By using XML as data storage format, existing tools can be used for those purposes.
The TULP2G framework is open source software which means that everybody has the opportunity to develop plug-ins which can be used with the framework. In this way the NFI wants to stimulate efforts in the area of embedded system forensics and promote standard operating procedures. What's New in This Release: [ read full changelog ]
· Fixed a bug that caused the installation of TULP2G to fail unless both .NET 1.1 and 2.0 were installed (only 2.0 is required).
· Fixed a bug that caused the first investigation added after doing an intermediate save to be lost.
· Added support for reading out UMTS SIM smartcards to the Protocol.SIM plug-in, including a report template.
· Added Protocol.Chipknip plug-in to read out Chipknip (Dutch digital purse) smartcards.
· Added command line options to load a case, profile or plug-in during start up.
· Added drag&drop support. Cases and profiles can now be dropped onto the TULP2G main window.
· Modified the Manage Plug-ins dialog so system plug-ins can no longer be removed.
